Happy Birthday Brianne!!!!

My baby is 4yrs old...I can not even believe it!!! She is getting so big and we have so much fun together. She loves to laugh and make her sister laugh, to hear them together makes me so happy. So, she is all about Hannah Montana right now so guess what kind of party we had...HANNAH MONTANA. We had a few friends come to Lakeside Amusement park and they got to ride on all the rides together and then we went on a train ride and had cake and lots of Hannah presents. By the end of the day, seriously, Brianne could not even stand up in line. It was alot of fun!!
Brianne also started preschool so she thinks she is pretty hot stuff going to school. She loves it and is learning so much ahh it just makes me proud!! :) (I know I am a freak)
We have some major things happenin in our life the last couple months so I will try and update tomorrow...In the meantime here are pics of Brianne's Party!!

Lakeside

We were fortunate enough to go to an amusement park with Sophie and Ellie. The girls had so much fun riding on all the rides(well, Skye was not too excited)but Sophie and Brianne went on the roller coaster like 15 times and Ellie liked the slower rides. It was great to see Ellie able to get out and have some fun BUT the best part was my sister on the whip with the girls. Now, my sister is not a ride person and I could not stop laughing at her on this ride. It was so funny and I was laughing too hard I did not even get a good picture. Anyway, it was a great night and we love it when we can all spend time together. We absolutely treasure every moment!!

Ellie's Golf Fund Raiser

This past weekend we had a golf tournament and pancake breakfast for Ellie. It was absolutely amazing!! We had 140 for breakfast and 100 golfers to show support for Ellie. It was such a fun day and Ellie was feeling pretty good so she got to stay for most of the day.(Brianne was excited to play her) Here are some pics of the day including Janice and Scotty with big sis Sophie and Ellie. They are truly an inspiration to many people.

Kit Carson County Fair...

I do not even know where to begin with the whole fair thing...Brianne LOVES the fair!!! This year I decided to have an Arbonne booth at the fair and I really do not know what I was thinking! Monday, no one was at the fair...seriously, Tues. I was sick all day, Wed. not too bad and Thurs. rained all day (my tent was the only one that survived the night) Fri...I am going to Denver, I give up!!
Well, we are a small town but we usually have a pretty good carnival...this year 3 rides that cost 3 dollars a piece to ride...are you kidding me? Whatever all Brianne sees is rides so...Somehow she got daddy to go on the tornado with her and then she went on the swings and ended with the barrels of fun. It is always fun to see her having a blast(I was a little nervous watching her on the tornado though) The girls got their face painted, they looked at the animals and oh...Brianne got 1st place on her coloring page...GO BRIANNE!!! Skye was happy as long as she was eating...pizza, ice cream, suckers, you know all the good stuff! It was a long week but always fun and now for a whole year B will ask everyday when will the fair be here?

Fun with Ellie

We are back from Children's Hospital but unfortunately Ellie will be there until tomorrow. I have some pics of the kids at the hospital. It is so crazy, that even after 10 days in this tiny room, Ellie is still smiling. I never knew I could learn so much from a 3yr old. Next Saturday, we are having a golf tournament fund raiser for Ellie and her family. We are so excited to have about 100 people involved. It should be a great day for the Rolfs to see how much support they have. So, that was our week...it is very emotionally draining seeing all the sick kids at the hospital. I honestly do not know how my sister does it...But she does and I look up to her even more because of her strength!!
The girls and I were even able to go to dinner with my friend and her kids. They had a lot of fun playing with each other and it is always good to catch up with Christy. Of course, we were seated right next to the band, so we really could not hear each other but you know it was still fun!! :)

Ellie update

I am just sending out a quick update on Ellie. She had surgery today to put her feeding tube in, they had to put an infant size tube in her because she is so small. Everything went very well but she was not happy when she woke up. She is ticked off at the world right now and i think I might be as well after being in the hospital for 9 days. She will come home on Monday so they have a long weekend ahead. I am so happy I got to spend some time with them and take my sister out of the hospital for awhile. My sister is my best friend and it absolutely kills me to see her in so much pain. I wish I had a magic wand to make all of this disappear for her. We have been following another story of a boy who has the same kind of cancer as Ellie and he just earned his angel wings two nights ago. It is absolutely heartbreaking and sometimes hard to understand why these sweet innocent children have to suffer but we do know that God is in control and He has a special plan for these kids. I thank God everyday for my children and never take them for granted!!
I will be heading home tomorrow so I will post some pics of Ellie and Brianne in the hospital. We made a caterpillar, we took a ride on the IV pole, we watched some movies, and hopefully made Ellie's day a little brighter. We Love you so much, Ellie!!!
If you remember, PLEASE say a prayer for all the families who have children who are suffering.

Sweet Ellie

We need some extra prayers for my niece, Ellie. She was diagnosed in April with a Wilms tumor. She had surgery to remove her kidney and the tumor(which was the size of a football) and then they realized it had spread to her lungs. In June she had surgery on her lungs, so she is cancer free for now but she has a long road ahead of her with 36 more weeks of chemo. This round of chemo has been pretty rough on her little body. She just turned 3 and is down to 22 lbs. so they will be putting a feeding tube in her on Monday. She has been in the hospital almost a week so please pray for her body to recover!!! If you have time her website is www.caringbridge.org/visit/ellierolfs. She is such a fighter and we are so proud of her and know she will fight this disease with everything she has. The girls and i are going to spend the weekend with them in Denver. I can not wait to just sit and hold Ellie's hand and probally watch her favorite Dora movie!

Another 100 Degree Day in Colorado

It is so freakin' HOT!!! The good news is that I have not had to do much laundry since the girls have been living in their swimsuits. We had swimming lessons today and then came home to swim. I am proud to tell you that after 2yrs of swimming lessons Brianne can now put her face in the water!!! She loves to play in the water But not actually swim because that might require some effort. Skye likes to put her hands in the water and then put them in her mouth like she is drinking it. It is so fun to watch how the girls are at different stages and what each one likes to do. I just love them!!

What a GREAT Weekend

The girls and I had such a fun weekend, I thought I would share! We went to Denver on Friday and came back today. One of Brianne's friends had a birthday party at a fun bounce house place so that is how our weekend started. Happy Birthday Cori!!! The kids had a blast bouncing around and going down slides, eating cupcakes and opening presents. On Saturday I took the girls to Pirates Cove which is a great water park for kids. It is perfect for the little ones with lots of slides, a lazy river, a dump bucket and water fountains. Skye fell asleep after about 2 hours(that was her limit) so she went home with grandma but Brianne and I stayed for the afternoon. Now you might think that that would be a big enough day BUT no we also ended the day with a bang at Chuck E Cheeses!!! Pizza and games what else can i say?
Sunday my sister was able to come to my moms for the day with her two girls Sophie and Ellie who are Brianne's and Skye's best friends. We have not been able to see them in awhile since Ellie who is 3 was diagnosed with cancer about three months ago. She is going through heavy duty chemo and her counts are down alot, so we cannot take the chance of her getting sick. So, Sunday we had a great day playing and being together.
Lastly, we went and had Skye's haircut for the first time! We went to this place called Lollilocks, where they get to sit on an animal and then they take a picture and save the hair...kinda make it a big deal! Skye did awesome. She was like an old pro sitting up there!!
It is always great to go to Denver and see my family and I am happy i am only 2.5 hrs away.
Needless to say, we all took naps today...we were exhausted!!

HAPPY 4TH oF JULY

I love everything about the fourth of July. This year Brianne performed with her dance class at the park. It was so fun to watch the little girls dancing. After that we bought some fun fireworks for the girls and then we went to Cam's brothers house for a bar b que. The girls had fun swimming, eating popsicles, watching fireworks and eating popsicles. Here are some pics of the cousins and some miscellaneous.

Blastball

Brianne has been playing blastball this summer and having so much fun! Blastball is for the little 3 and 4 yr olds to hit the ball and run to first base(the base squeaks when they step on it. They are all so cute. No one really knows what they are supposed to be doing and all the parents are laughing and cheering them on. Here are some photos of her in the pitcher position and also batting. Cracks me up!! WAY TO GO BRIANNE!!!

This is all new to me

Well, it's official...this is my first blog post. I am wondering how I got hooked into this but, here we go. I will be posting alot about my girls and the funny things they do. My oldest is Brianne (3) and she loves to swim and dance. She had her first dance recital in May and she LOVED being on stage. During the summer we pretty much live at the pool. She will start preschool in August and I am not sure I am ready for that. Skye is my baby, she turned 1 in May. She is so full of energy and in to EVERYTHING!! She likes playing at the pool and splashing and tries to do everything that her big sister does. She always makes me laugh.
